THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN
Chapter 9
Abba Father, I cry unto Thee to now send Thy Holy
Spirit to fully impart unto my being all the Spiritual Life of Thine contained
in each and every word of Thy Holy Scriptures recorded here in John chapter 9.
“And
as Je’sus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.” (Verse 1)
Lord
Jesus Christ, please now come my way, in like manner as Thou didst pass by this
blind man. Please look upon my present condition, which is sinful, selfish, and
full of sorrow, despair, worry, unrest, discontentment, shortcomings,
frailties, weaknesses, infirmities, and tragic failures. I ask Thee, Merciful
Lord Jesus, to look on me with Almighty God’s Gracious Compassion, just as Thou
didst look upon this blind man and had great compassion upon him. I humbly beg
Thee, Lord Jesus, to please graciously help me with all my problems and needs,
just as Thou didst help this blind man in his pitiful condition. By Thy Holy
Spirit, please reveal unto me all the spiritual blindness that has been in my
being from my birth. I plead with Thee, Precious Lord Jesus, to please heal all
my spiritual blindness. Please give me Perfect Spiritual Vision. Please look
down on me for good, be most merciful and gracious unto me an undeserving
sinner, and by Thy Unlimited Power please do good unto me, I humbly pray.
“And
his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents,
that he was born blind?” (Verse 2)
Lord
Jesus Christ, please teach me clearly how that mankind’s inherent sin nature
(inherited from Adam and Eve) naturally brings on physical maladies, apart from
an individual’s many personal sins.
Thank
Thee, Lord God, for giving me good physical vision so that I can see well as I
go about my daily life. I pray for all blind people, that Thou wouldest give
each of them the special grace they need to carry on their lives without
physical eyesight.
“Je’sus
answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his
parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” (Verse 3)
Lord
Jesus, please give me clear and perfect spiritual discernment of Thy Words
spoken in this verse. Convince me that “all have
sinned,” so that definitely includes this blind
man. Give me discernment to understand that Thou art teaching here, that no
personal sin of the blind man, or any personal sin of his parents, was the
direct cause of him being blind. Almighty Lord God, I praise Thy Name for the
way Thou doest gloriously manifest Thy Works in us, by graciously giving us the
Divine Help we most direly need. I worship Thee, Lord God, for Thy Help. I beg
Thee to please manifest the works of God in my life.
“I
must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh,
when no man can work.” (Verse 4)
Heavenly
Father, just as Thou didst send Thy Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, from Heaven into
this world to do Thy Works, please send me out into the world around me to do
Thy Works. Please show me what Works of God Thou wouldest have me to do. Please
empower me with Holy Ghost Power from on High to work mighty works for Thy
Great Glory. Cause me to daily labour faithfully and most diligently for Thee,
for the night cometh, when no man can work.
“As
long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (Verse 5)
Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art The Light
of the world. I worship Thee as such. Please shine Thy Glorious Light ever so
brightly into my heart and into my entire being. Please lead me to always walk
in Thy Marvelous Light. Please let Thy Divine Light shine thru me out into the
dark world around me, being as Thou art no longer in this world.
“When
he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he
anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,” (Verse 6)
Lord
Jesus, I confess that Thou doest all things well. I fervently proclaim that I
am not the least bit offended by the method Thou didst use to anoint this blind
man’s eyes. I love all Thy Works, Lord Jesus.
“And
said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Si-lo’am, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore,
and washed, and came seeing.” (Verse 7)
Lord
Jesus Christ, I worship Thee as Almighty God Who worketh miracles and Who has
great compassion on our sufferings. I confess that Thou doest heal us of our
diseases, and I praise Thee for having such Gracious Compassion on us. Please
give me strong and perfect faith to see Thee work such miracles for me and for
the suffering people around me.
“The
neighbors therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind,
said, Is not this he that sat and begged?” (Verse 8)
Almighty Lord Jehovah God, please give us Christian
believers pure and unwavering faith in Thee to see Thee now work such miracles
and thus reveal Thy Great Power to the worldly people around us, all for Thy
Majestic Glory, I pray.
“Some
said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.” (Verse 9)
Almighty
God on High, please fill all us Christian believers with Holy boldness to
joyfully and openly proclaim to the whole world all the wonderful things that
Thou doest for us children of Thine. “As a Christian believer, I am a sinner
eternally saved by the Grace of Almighty God thru faith in The Lord Jesus
Christ, the Saviour of the world!” Help us believers to proudly proclaim such
good news to all the world.
“Therefore
said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?” (Verse 10)
Lord Jesus Christ, please work a great miracle upon
me right now, by fully opening my spiritual eyes, giving me perfect spiritual
vision, and thus saving me from spiritual blindness.
“He
answered and said, A man that is called Je’sus made clay, and anointed mine
eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Si-lo’am, and
wash: and I went and washed, and I
received sight.” (Verse 11)
Lord Jesus, please wash me in the Water of Thy Word.
Please wash me in the shed Blood of the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin
of the world, and thus make me whole and perfect. Please give me Perfect
Spiritual Vision.
“Then
said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.” (Verse 12)
Lord Jesus Christ, where art Thou? Please reveal Thy
Dwelling Place to me. Please come abide in my heart forever. Thus when anyone
asks me where The Lord Jesus Christ is, I can honestly and proudly answer that
Thou art seated at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven and also art
dwelling within my heart.
“They
brought to the Phar’i-sees him that aforetime was blind.” (Verse 13)
Almighty
Lord Jehovah God on High, I so earnestly desire that all my spiritual blindness
right now become past history. No more do I want to walk in spiritual darkness.
Thus I cry unto Thee to please have mercy upon me to give me clear spiritual
vision and may I ever walk in Thy Glorious Light. Please daily guide me
perfectly to do just that.
“And
it was the sabbath day when Je’sus made the clay, and opened his eyes.” (Verse
14)
Lord Jesus, I earnestly desire that this very day,
right now, be the day that Thou doest fully open mine eyes and doest give me
perfect spiritual vision. I humbly pray this of Thee, Lord Jesus Christ.
“Then
again the Phar’i-sees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said
unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.” (Verse 15)
Lord
Jesus, please mightily anoint mine eyes that I might clearly see Thee and all
Thy Glory.
“Therefore
said some of the Phar’i-sees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not
the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles?
And there was a division among them.” (Verse 16)
Lord
Jesus Christ, ever since the time that Thou didst walk this earth in the form
of man until now, the greatest division among mankind all over this planet has
centered on the question, “Who is Jesus Christ?” I confess that Thou art not a sinner. I confess that Thou art
without sin and completely without any fault whatsoever. I confess that Thou
art Almighty God the Son, come to this earth in the form of flesh. I confess
that Thou art the Saviour of the world. I confess that Thou hast done all
things well. I confess that I find no fault in Thee. I confess that Thou art my
Lord and my God. I confess that Thou art my All. I reverently worship Thee,
Lord Jesus, as the One True God and as the Only Way to God the Father. I pray
that all other human souls on this earth would come to know Thee as such and to
trust in Thee as such.
“They
say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened
thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.” (Verse 17)
Lord
Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art much more than just a prophet. I confess
that Thou art Almighty God the Son Who can do anything. I worship Thee as my
Lord and my God.
“But
the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received
his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.”
(Verse 18)
Almighty
Lord Jehovah God, please create within my heart a Holy and Spiritual readiness
to immediately believe all Thy Holy Scriptures in Thy Holy Bible. Please save
me from ever wavering, or pondering, or doubting whether or not any of Thy
Words are totally True.
“And
they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then
doth he now see?” (Verse 19)
“His
parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was
born blind:” (Verse 20)
“But
by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know
not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.” (Verse 21)
Almighty Lord Jehovah God, I call unto Thee. I cry
unto Thee to please answer me, and to show me great and mighty things, which I
know not. Then help me to boldly and proudly proclaim all Thy Great and Mighty
Acts and Wonders to all Thy creation. Help me to speak to all souls who ask me,
of the great and glorious things Thou hast done for me and hast taught me and
hast shown unto me.
These
words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed
already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out
of the synagogue.” (Verse 22)
Almighty
Lord God on High, the Judge of all Thy creation, please help me to fear Thee
and to fear Thee alone. Save me from the fear of man, which bringeth many
snares upon one’s soul. I boldly profess and proclaim that Jesus is the Christ,
The Anointed One of God, God the Son Who became flesh and dwelt among us as
man. I worship Thee, Lord Jesus, as such. I earnestly pray for all human souls
on this earth to worship Thee as such.
“Therefore
said his parents, He is of age; ask him.” (Verse 23)
Our Father which art in Heaven, please help me to
always be ready to give an answer to anyone and everyone regarding the
wonderful hope that is within me, that Hope being the Lord Jesus Christ, my
Life and my All.
“Then
again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the
praise: we know that this man is a sinner.” (Verse 24)
Lord
Jesus Christ, I heartily confess to Thy whole creation that I know for certain
that Thou art not a sinner, that Thou art sinless, undefiled, the Pure, Clean,
and Holy Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world. I worship Thee
as such. Lord Jesus, from my heart, I give Thee all the praise Thou doest
deserve for coming into this world to die on the cross for the sins of mankind.
I worship Thee as The God of my Praise and my All.
“He
answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know,
that, whereas I was blind, now I see.” (Verse 25)
Lord Jesus Christ, please heal me of all my
spiritual blindness. Please shine Thy Glorious Light into my heart and life and
by it overcome all the spiritual darkness and blindness that is within me. I
desire to see ever so clearly. Please give me Perfect Spiritual Vision. From
now on, I want to see ever so clearly. Grant this, Lord Jesus, I pray.
“Then
said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?” (Verse
26)
Almighty
Lord God, please give me full understanding of the great and miraculous works
and changes Thou doest bring about within my being when I put my faith and my
trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
“He
answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye
hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?” (Verse 27)
Lord Jesus Christ, please give me ears to hear Thee
each and every time Thou doest speak to me. Please give me ears to hear each
time any other person speaks Truth to me concerning Thee. Please create within
me a heart to believe all Thy Truth. Lord Jesus, I earnestly desire to be Thy
disciple. Please make me into Thy disciple.
“Then
they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Mo’ses’
disciples.” (Verse 28)
Lord Jesus, what a great and glorious honour it is
to be one of Thy disciples. I want to proudly and boldly proclaim to the whole
world that I too am a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and
Lord of Lords, Who rules and reigns in the greatest majesty forever and ever.
“We
know that God spake unto Mo’ses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he
is.” (Verse 29)
Lord
Jesus, I praise Thy Great Name that I know from whence Thou art. Thou art God
the Son, come from God the Father in Heaven to save us from our sins. Thou art
the Saviour of the world. Please save me from ever referring to Thee in any
derogatory way as these unbelievers did, referring to Thee as “this fellow.”
Help me to always lift up Thy High and Holy Name among men.
The
man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know
not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.” (Verse 30)
Lord Jesus Christ, please save all mankind from
being ignorant of Thee. Please open all the spiritually blind eyes on this
earth and show unto everyone Whom Thou art. I praise Thee for opening my spiritually
blind eyes and teaching me of Thee and showing me Thy Great Glory.
“Now
we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God,
and doeth his will, him he heareth.” (Verse 31)
Almighty Lord Jehovah God on High, I know that Thou
doest hear all sinners who sincerely pray unto Thee for repentance. Please
grant unto me a heart fully repentant of all my sins. Please teach and guide me
to worship Thee in Spirit and in Truth. Please guide me to do Thy Perfect
Divine Will for me. Please hear me when I cry unto Thee, answer my feeble
prayers, and give me all the Help from Heaven I need.
“Since
the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was
born blind.” (Verse 32)
“If
this man were not of God, he could do nothing.” (Verse 33)
Almighty
Lord God, please grant unto me most keen spiritual discernment to know that
Satan worshippers and followers of false religions also do unbelievable works
by powers given unto them by the Devil and his demons. Any time that I am
confronted with any thing that is supernatural in nature, please guide me to
try the spirits to see whether they be of God. Lord Jesus, please convince me
that without Thee, I can do nothing.
“They
answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou
teach us? And they cast him out.” (Verse 34)
Almighty
Lord God, please convince me that all of Adam’s descendents (the entire human
race) are born in sin. Convince me that anyone can come to Thee in repentance
and freely receive forgiveness of and cleansing from all their sins, and also
receive God’s salvation from the eternal punishment in Hell of their sins. I
pray that all souls now on this earth would now do just that.
“Je’sus
heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?” (Verse
35)
Our Father which art in Heaven, I confess that I
believe on the Son of God. I pray that all human souls on earth would believe
on the Son of God.
“He
answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?” (Verse 36)
Heavenly
Father, please teach me fully Who Thou art. Please teach me fully Who God the
Son is. Please teach me fully Who is God the Holy Spirit. I earnestly desire to
believe on the One True God Who is a Trinity, One Living God in 3 Persons.
“And
Je’sus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it
is he that talketh with thee.” (Verse 37)
Lord Jesus Christ, I earnestly desire to see Thee.
Please show Thyself unto me. Lord Jesus, I earnestly desire for Thee to talk to
me. Please speak unto me all the things I shouldest hear from Thee, my Creator
God. I call unto Thee, Lord Jesus, to answer me and show me great and glorious
things that I know not.
“And
he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.” (Verse 38)
Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that I too believe on
Thee as my Creator God, my Saviour, and my All. I fervently worship Thee as
such. I pray that all people would trust in Thee and worship Thee.
“And
Je’sus said, For judgment I am come into this
world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made
blind.” (Verse 39)
Lord Jesus Christ, I beg of Thee to show great
mercies unto me as Thou doest judge me. Please give me Perfect Spiritual Vision.
Please save me from being spiritually blind. Please don’t make me blind.
“And
some of the Phar’i-sees which were with him heard these words, and said unto
him, Are we blind also?” (Verse 40)
Lord Jesus Christ, please reveal all of my spiritual
blindness unto me, and please save me from all my spiritual blindness.
“Je’sus
said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no
sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.” (Verse 41)
Lord Jesus Christ, please have mercy upon me a
sinner. Please enable me to truly repent to Thee of my sins. Please forgive all
my sins and cleanse me from all my sins so that none of them remaineth. Please
put all my sins behind Thy Back. Please put all my sins in the deepest ocean.
Almighty
Lord Jehovah God on High, I pray all these prayers in John Chapter 9 for all
the human souls presently alive on this earth. And I humbly ask Thee in the
Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and for Jesus’ Precious Name’s Sake, to hear and
answer these prayers in accordance to Thy Divine Will. Thank Thee, Lord God,
for hearing and answering these prayers of mine. I love Thee, Lord God.
