THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN
Chapter 7
Abba
Father, I confess that each and every word in Thy Holy Bible is Almighty God’s
Holy Scripture, and that each word is alive with the Life of The One True
Living Everlasting Almighty God. Please now send Thy Holy Spirit to make each
word of John Chapter 7 fully Spiritually Alive to my living being, body, soul,
and spirit.
“After
these things Je’sus walked in Gal’i-lee: for he would not walk in Jew’ry,
because the Jews sought to kill him.” (Verse 1)
Lord
Jesus Christ, please save me from the awful sin of opposing Thee in any way at
all. Please help me to totally submit myself to Thee. I am on Thy Side, Lord
Jesus Christ. I am for Thee, not against Thee, Lord Jesus. Help me to obey all
the words in Thy Holy Bible in accordance to Thy Divine Will for me. Please
daily guide all us Christian believers in our walk to keep us safe from those
who would harm us because we love Thee.
“Now
the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand.” (Verse 2)
Heavenly
Father, please send Thy Holy Spirit to teach me the meaning of the Jews’ feast
of tabernacles.
“His
brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Ju-dae’a, that thy
disciples also may see the works that thou doest.” (Verse 3)
“For
there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be
known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.” (Verse 4)
Lord Jesus Christ, please save me from the sin of
calling upon Thee to do things that are not Thy Will to do. Save me from the
folly of vainly giving Thee orders and telling Thee what Thou must do. Please
make me ever so prone to instead listen to Thy Voice and to readily, willingly,
and joyfully do all the things Thou doest call on me to do. I exist to obey
Thee, Lord Jesus, and to wholly do Thy Will.
“For
neither did his brethren believe in him.” (Verse 5)
Lord Jesus Christ, please save me from the awful sin
of unbelief regarding my Creator God. Please cause me to fully believe on Thee
and to trust in Thee as my Saviour.
“Then
Je’sus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but
your time is alway ready.” (Verse 6)
Lord
Jesus, please teach me the meaning of Thy words in this verse, especially about
Thy disciples’ time being always ready. Please teach me to be instant in season
and out of season.
“The
world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the
works thereof are evil.” (Verse 7)
Lord
Jesus Christ, I confess that the works of the devil’s world are evil. Save me
from the devil’s world and save me from doing evil works. Save me from ever
hating Thee, Precious Lord Jesus. Train me to love the good and to hate the
evil. Please teach me and lead me to testify of the works of the devil’s world
being evil. When people of the world return hatred for my testimony against the
world’s evil works, cause me to understand that hatred is directed toward The
Lord Jesus Christ. Precious Lord Jesus, please save me from ever hating Thee.
Stir me up to love Thee with all my heart.
“Go
ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet
full come.” (Verse 8)
Lord
Jesus Christ, I desire to live my life in complete accordance with Thy Divine
Will for my life on earth. Please guide me to do that. I pray that each and
every thing I do be in accordance to Thy Divine Will. I pray that each and
every thing that comes my way in life be in perfect accordance to Thy Divine
Will. I confess that Thou hast ordained Thy Timing for all such things in my
life. Please teach me patience, to always wait for Thy Timing. Save me from
impatiently trying to run ahead of Thee. May everything concerning my life be
done in the fullness of time ordained by Thee, my Creator God.
“When
he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Gal’i-lee.” (Verse 9)
“But
when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not
openly, but as it were in secret.” (Verse 10)
“Then
the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?” (Verse 11)
Lord
Jesus Christ, please stir up my heart to seek Thee with all my heart. Please
guide me to always seek Thee from just, proper, and upright motives that are
most pleasing to Thee. Where art Thou, Lord Jesus? Please reveal Thyself unto
me.
“And
there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is
a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.” (Verse 12)
Lord Jesus, please save me from ever murmuring
against Thee. Please save me from murmuring about Thee. Help me to always speak
clearly and boldly of Thee, always praising Thee. Please guard my lips, and
guide me to always speak that which is just and upright about Thee. Teach me to
speak things that glorify Thee.
Lord
Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou doest not deceive souls who set their hearts
to do right toward Thee. Please guide me to set my heart to do right toward Thee.
I confess that Thou art more than a good man. I confess that when Thou didst
take on the form of human flesh and came to this earth, that Thou wast Almighty
God Incarnate, perfect, without any sin. I worship Thee, Precious Lord Jesus,
as Almighty God, Perfect in Power and Holiness and Purity.
“Howbeit
no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.” (Verse 13)
Lord Jesus Christ, I earnestly pray for Thee to
teach me the fear of The Lord. Instill within my being a proper fear and reverence
toward Almighty Jehovah God my Creator. Cause me to serve Thee with fear and to
rejoice with trembling. Save me from the fear of man. Please give me upright
boldness toward men and holy fear toward God. Make me most bold to always speak
of Thee to anyone and everyone in accordance to Thy Will for me to do so.
“Now
about the midst of the feast Je’sus went up into the temple, and taught.”
(Verse 14)
Lord
Jesus Christ, please come unto me and teach me everything I should know. Please
stir up my heart to hunger and thirst with earnest, burning desire to know all
I should know about my Creator God. I now listen for Thy Voice, Lord Jesus,
teaching me.
“And
the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never
learned?” (Verse 15)
Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art
Omniscient God Who knows every thing. I worship Thee as The One, True, Living,
All Knowing God. Please teach me all I need to know.
“Je’sus
answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but
his that sent me.” (Verse 16)
Heavenly Father, I confess that Thou didst send Thy
Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, to this earth. I confess that all the doctrine that
Jesus taught is the doctrine of Thee, God the Father. Heavenly Father, please
help me to carefully read and to diligently study all Thy Holy Bible. Please
send Thy Holy Spirit to teach me all Thy Doctrine in the Holy Bible. Cause me
to believe it all and to obey it all, and to proclaim all Thy Holy Scriptures
to every soul I possibly can.
“If
any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God,
or whether I speak of myself.” (Verse 17)
Our Father Who art in Heaven, please cause me to
yield myself fully to Thee, for the purpose of Thee making me wholly willing to
do Thy Will. I confess that I desire to do Thy Divine Will for my life. Please
enable me to do so. Please give me true Spiritual discernment to know what
religious doctrine is of Thee, The One, True, Living, Almighty God. Please warn
me against any religious doctrine or teaching that is false and therefore does
not come from Thee.
“He
that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory
that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.” (Verse 18)
Almighty
Lord Jehovah God, please save me from the vain sin of seeking my own glory.
Please save me from speaking of myself and promoting myself. Please teach and
guide me to seek the Glory of Almighty God in Heaven. Please cause me to be
true. Please remove all unrighteousness from me. Save me from all falsehood and
all unrighteousness.
“Did
not Mo’ses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye
about to kill me?” (Verse 19)
Almighty
Lord God, I confess that I have not kept Thy law that Thou gavest thru Moses in
the Old Testament. I realize that it is sin to break Thy law. Please give me a
repentant heart over my sins against Thee, my Creator God. Please forgive my
sins for The Lord Jesus Christ’s Precious Name’s Sake.
“The
people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?”
(Verse 20)
Lord Jesus Christ, please save me from the awful sin
of proclaiming that there is any thing wrong concerning Thee. Save me from the
fearful sin of contributing to the devil, the Glorious Works that Jehovah God
doeth perform. I worship Thee, Lord Jesus Christ, as the Perfect, Holy, Pure,
and Upright Almighty God.
“Je’sus
answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye
all marvel.” (Verse 21)
Lord
Jesus, I heartily praise Thee for all Thy Works. All Thy Works are Perfect and
Glorious. Please work many great and mighty works in my life.
“Mo’ses
therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Mo’ses, but of the
fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.” (Verse 22)
“If a
man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Mo’ses should not
be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on
the sabbath day?” (Verse 23)
Lord
Jesus, I fervently praise Thee for making this man whole on the Sabbath Day.
Please make me fully whole now, in body, soul, and spirit.
“Judge
not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” (Verse 24)
Lord
Jesus, please save me from judging according to appearance. Please become my
Righteousness. Please enable me to judge every thing that comes my way in
accordance to Thy Righteousness.
“Then
said some of them of Je-ru’sa-lem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?”
(Verse 25)
“But,
lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know
indeed that this is the very Christ?” (Verse 26)
Lord
Jesus, please give me spiritual boldness to speak boldly of Thee to everyone,
in accordance to Thy Divine Will for me. I know that Thou art the very Christ
of God, Lord Jesus. Please help me to proclaim that Glorious Truth to all human
souls on this earth.
“Howbeit
we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he
is.” (Verse 27)
Jesus
of Nazareth, please convince me that Thou art the Christ sent from God the
Father in Heaven. Please enable me to worship Thee in spirit and truth as The
Christ, God the Son, sent by God the Father from Heaven above. Help me to
broadcast that good news to everyone, that Thou, Lord Jesus, art the very
Christ come from God the Father in Heaven.
“Then
cried Je’sus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye
both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that
sent me is true, whom ye know not.” (Verse
28)
Lord Jesus Christ, I desire to know Thee fully. I desire
to fully know from whence Thou didst come. Please teach me how that Thou didst
come to this earth from God The Father in Heaven. Teach me how that Thou didst
not come of Thyself. I confess that God The Father is True. I desire to fully
know God The Father. Please grant these desires of mine in accordance to Thy
Divine Will for me.
“But
I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.” (Verse 29)
Lord Jesus, I confess that Thou doest know God The
Father. I confess that Thou art from Him. I confess that God The Father sent
Thee to this earth to save me. Save me to the utmost, Lord Jesus.
“Then
they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not
yet come.” (Verse 30)
Lord Jesus Christ, I worship Thee as Almighty God
Who has Absolute Power over all human souls. Please help me to always totally
submit to Thy Power. Please perfect the timing of all things that come my way
during this life on earth.
“And
many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do
more miracles than these which this man hath done?” (Verse 31)
Lord
Jesus Christ, I believe on Thee. I worship Thee as Almighty God Who performs an
infinite number of miracles. Please mold and make my life on earth into a
miraculous life that will greatly glorify Thee.
“The
Phar’i-sees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the
Phar’i-sees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.” (Verse 32)
Lord Jesus, please save me from murmuring anything
concerning Thee. Please guide me to speak boldly and reverently to every one of
Thee and of Thy Greatness, always with the greatest praise possible.
“Then
said Je’sus unto them, Yet a little while am I with
you, and then I go unto him that sent me.” (Verse
33)
Lord
Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou didst return from this earth unto God The
Father in Heaven Who sent Thee to this earth to save all who believeth on Thee.
I confess that I believe on Thee.
“Ye
shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come.” (Verse 34)
Lord
Jesus, I desire to come unto Thee where Thou art. Please empower me to
earnestly seek Thee with all my heart. I earnestly pray I will find Thee. Where
art Thou, Lord Jesus? I desire to be where Thou art, Lord Jesus. Please save me
from going to Hell and take me to be with Thee where Thou art. Please ever keep
me safe in Thy Tender, Loving Care, as my Good Shepherd.
“Then
said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him?
will he go unto the dispersed among the Gen’tiles, and teach the Gen’tiles?”
(Verse 35)
Lord Jesus Christ, I desire to always know where
Thou art. I desire to always be with Thee wherever Thou art. Please perfectly
guide me to daily follow ever so closely in Thy Precious Foot Steps.
“What
manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me:
and where I am, thither ye cannot come?” (Verse 36)
Almighty
Lord Jehovah God in Heaven, by Thy Unlimited Power, please send Thy Holy Spirit
into my heart to break down each and every barrier within my being that
separates me from the Lord Jesus Christ. Please fill me with a burning desire
to come unto The Lord Jesus Christ. And by Thy Holy Spirit’s Power, please draw
me unto The Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus, please do not cast me away from Thee. I
seek Thee, Lord Jesus, because I want to find Thee.
“In
the last day, that great day of the feast, Je’sus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”(Verse 37)
Our Father which art in Heaven, please send Thy Holy
Spirit into my spirit for the purpose of creating a great thirst within me for
all the Spiritual things that Thou hast ordained that I should thirst after.
Please cause me to hunger and thirst after righteousness. Please cause me to
thirst for Perfect Knowledge of Thee, my Creator God. Please cause me to thirst
for a Fullness of Thy Wisdom, Love, and Power. Please cause me to thirst after
Living Water from God on High.
Lord
Jesus Christ, please draw me unto Thee. I come unto Thee as a dry, thirsty,
needy soul desiring to drink. Please give unto me to drink.
“He
that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow
rivers of living water.” (Verse 38)
Lord
Jesus Christ, please grant unto me Pure, Sound, Unshakable, and Strong Faith in
Thee as my Lord and Saviour. I confess that I believe on Thee, Lord Jesus.
Wouldest Thou now fulfill this Scripture for me personally. Please cause rivers
of Living Water to flow out of my being.
“(But
this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for
the Ho’ly Ghost was not yet given; because that Je’sus was not yet glorified.)”
(Verse 39)
Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that after Thou didst
rise from the dead and didst ascend to The Father in Heaven, that Thou wast
glorified. I confess that soon after that, on the Day of Pentecost, the Holy
Ghost descended upon Christian believers and was given to them. I confess that
I believe on Thee, Lord Jesus, as the Christ sent from God The Father in
Heaven. Please give unto me Thy Holy Ghost. Please fill me with The Holy
Ghost’s Power for the purpose of me serving Thee and glorifying Thee.
“Many
of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is
the Prophet.” (Verse 40)
Lord
Jesus, I confess that Thou art much more than The Prophet. Thou art The Christ.
Thou art God the Son. Please cause me to listen ever so carefully to all Thy
Sayings and to God’s Holy Spirit speaking to my heart. Please always give me
clear discernment of Thy Precious Voice and create within me a heart that will
always obey Thy Voice.
“Others
said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Gal’i-lee?”
(Verse 41)
Lord Jesus, I worship Thee as The Christ of Almighty
God the Father. Thank Thee, Lord Jesus, for teaching me who Thou art.
“Hath
not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of Da’vid, and out of
the town of Beth’le-hem, where Da’vid was?” (Verse 42)
Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that I believe all Thy Holy
Scriptures. I believe that Thou didst come out of the seed of David, and out of
the town of Bethlehem where David was.
“So
there was a division among the people because of him.” (Verse 43)
Lord
Jesus Christ, please teach me how that Thy Existence doeth cause the greatest
divisions ever among people. But no matter what anyone else may think of Thee,
and no matter how many divisions come amongst people because of Thee; please
help me to always stand with Thee and for Thee. I desire to do so.
“And
some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.” (Verse 44)
Lord Jesus Christ, I worship Thee as Almighty God
Who hast all Power and total control over all human souls and over all Thy vast
creation.
“Then
came the officers to the chief priests and Phar’i-sees; and they said unto
them, Why have ye not brought him?” (Verse 45)
“The
officers answered, Never man spake like this man.” (Verse 46)
Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that whenever Thou does
speak, that it is Almighty God Who speaketh. I now call upon Thee to speak unto
me and to show unto me great, wonderful, and glorious things that I know not. I
believe that no other man has ever spoken like Thee, Lord Jesus. Please speak
to me much and always.
“Then
answered them the Phar’i-sees, Are ye also deceived?” (Verse 47)
Almighty Lord Jehovah God in Heaven. Please save me
from all deception. Please save me from being deceived by Satan, please save me
from being deceived by other people. Please save me from being deceived by my
own self (my own wicked and deceitful heart). Have mercy upon me and please
save me from being deceived by Almighty God.
“Have
any of the rulers or of the Phar’i-sees believed on him?” (Verse 48)
Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that I believe on Thee
with all my heart. I pray that all people on this earth would believe on Thee.
“But
this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.” (Verse 49)
Lord
Jesus Christ, I desire to know Thee fully. Please teach me all I should know of
Thee. Please teach me Almighty God’s Law from The Holy Bible. Please reveal to
me how that all lost sinners are presently under the curse of God’s Law. Lord
Jesus, please be my Saviour and save me from the curse of God’s Law.
“Nic-o-de’mus
saith unto them, (he that came to Je’sus by night, being one of them.)” (Verse
50)
“Doeth
our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?” (Verse 51)
Almighty Jehovah Lord God, I confess that Thy Law is
Perfectly Just and Upright. I confess that Thou art the Judge of the whole
earth (of all mankind), and that Thy Judgment is Just and Righteous. Trusting
in the Lord Jesus Christ for repentance, forgiveness of sin, cleansing from
sin, salvation, and eternal life, I commit myself into Thy Hands, My Creator
God, pleading with Thee to judge me in mercy and grace.
“They
answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Gal’i-lee? Search, and look: for
out of Gal’i-lee ariseth no prophet.” (Verse 52)
Almighty Lord God, please enable me and guide me
clearly to diligently search Thy Holy Scriptures daily. Please send Thy Holy
Spirit to clearly and accurately teach me the fully meaning of all Thy Holy
Scriptures.
“And
every man went unto his own house.” (Verse 53)
Our
Father which art in Heaven, please guide me and properly train me to mind my
own business and to always go home when it is time for me to return to my own
house.
I
pray all these prayers in this Chapter 7 of John for all the human souls now
living on this earth. I pray them in the High and Holy Name of The Lord Jesus
Christ. Heavenly Father, I cry unto Thee to please hear and answer these
prayers of mine in accordance to Thy Divine Will and for the Lord Jesus
Christ’s Precious Name’s Sake. Amen!
