THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN

Chapter 6 (Part 2)

“And Je’sus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” (Verse 35)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art the Bread of Life. I worship Thee, Lord Jesus, as the Bread of Life. I confess that the soul that cometh unto Thee shall never hunger. I confess that the soul that believeth on Thee shall never thirst. Lord Jesus, please draw me unto Thee. I desire to come unto Thee. Please give me True and Living Faith to believe on Thee. Please fully and completely satisfy all my spiritual hunger and thirst.

“But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.” (Verse 36)

Lord Jesus Christ, I cry out unto Thee to have great mercy upon me to save me from the fatal sin of not believing on Thee, The Saviour of the world. I want to see Thee, Lord Jesus. Please clearly reveal Thyself unto me now, just as clearly as those people saw and beheld Thee when Thou wast here on earth. I desire to believe on Thee, Lord Jesus. Please give me the True Faith in the One True God to do so.

“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (Verse 37)

Our Father which art in Heaven, help me to now fully submit myself unto Thee for the express purpose of Thee giving me to Thy Son, The Lord Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, please draw me to Thee. Please create within me a will to come unto Thee. Please remove every obstacle that would hinder me from coming unto Thee. Please empower me to come unto Thee. I thank Thee, Lord Jesus, for this precious promise of Thine, that Thou wilt in no wise cast out the soul that cometh unto Thee. I claim that promise. I am Thine, O Lord Jesus. Please keep me forever.

“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” (Verse 38)

Heavenly Father, I confess that The Lord Jesus Christ came down to earth from Heaven, not to do His Own Will, but to do the Will of God the Father Who sent Him. I confess that The Lord Jesus Christ hath always done perfectly the Will of God the Father in Heaven. Heavenly Father, please give me a burning desire to do Thy Perfect Will for my life. Please enable me and empower me by The Holy Ghost’s Power to do Thy Will perfectly. I exist and live to do the Will of God my Father in Heaven.

“And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.” (Verse 39)

Our Father which art in Heaven, I confess that Thou didst send Thy Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, into this world. I confess that The Lord Jesus Christ shall lose nothing of all which God the Father giveth Him. I confess that The Lord Jesus Christ shall raise up all such souls at the last day. Heavenly Father, please give me unto The Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus, please preserve my life forever. Please raise me up again at the last day. I completely place my life into Thy Loving Care, Lord Jesus.

“And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (Verse 40)

Lord Jesus Christ, please reveal Thyself unto me. Please let me see Thee. Where art Thou, Lord Jesus? Please give me strong, secure faith in Thee. Please give me everlasting life. Please raise me up at the last day. I earnestly pray this for every living human soul on this earth.

“The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.” (Verse 41)

Lord Jesus, please save me from the awful sin of ever murmuring against Thee in unbelief. Please give me True Faith to believe each and every word of Thine and of God’s Holy Bible. Save me from ever thinking or speaking anything against Thee. Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art the Bread which came down from Heaven. Please evermore give me this Bread to eat.

“And they said, Is not this Je’sus, the son of Jo’seph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?” (Verse 42)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art God the Son Who exists eternally without beginning and without end. I confess that when Thou didst take on the form of human flesh, that Thou was conceived by God the Holy Spirit in the womb of the virgin Mary. I confess that Joseph was not Thy father. I confess that Thou didst come down from The Father in Heaven to save us from our sins. Please save me from my sins. I worship Thee, Lord Jesus, as the True Eternal God, and as the only begotten Son of God the Father in Heaven. I desire to know Thee to the fullest, Lord Jesus Christ.

“Je’sus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.” (Verse 43)

Lord Jesus Christ, please help me to perfectly obey this command of Thine. Please save me from the sin of murmuring to myself or to other people about Thee. Save me from the sin of finding fault with Thee, Thou Perfect God the Son. Help me to boldly proclaim all Thy Words to everyone and to highly exalt Thee with my words and life.

“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (Verse 44)

Lord Jesus, I confess that no one can come unto Thee, except God the Father draw that person unto Thee. Heavenly Father, please draw me to The Lord Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, please raise me up at the last day.

“It is written in the prophets, AND THEY SHALL BE ALL TAUGHT OF GOD. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.” (Verse 45)

Heavenly Father, please help me right now to fully open my heart to Thy Holy Spirit for the purpose of Thee teaching me all the things I should know. I call on Thee to show me great, glorious, and wonderful things that I know not. Please give me ears to hear Thy Voice, Lord God. Please give me a heart to learn of Thee, Lord God. Please draw me unto Thee, and enable me to come unto Thee. Where art Thou, Lord Jesus? Please reveal Thyself fully unto me. I want to come unto Thee. I want to know Thee fully!

“Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.” (Verse 46)

Our Father which art in Heaven, I want to be “of God.” Please make me “of God.” Heavenly Father, I desire to see Thee. Please show Thyself unto me. Please give me Spiritual vision to look upon the unseen and to see Thee. Where art Thou, Heavenly Father? Save me from being deceived by any and all spirits that are Thine enemies.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” (Verse 47)

Lord Jesus Christ, please give me True and Living Faith to believe on Thee. I confess that he that believeth on Thee hath everlasting life. Please be my everlasting life. I worship Thee as Everlasting Life, Lord Jesus.

“I am that bread of life.” (Verse 48)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art the Bread of Life. I worship Thee as the Bread of Life. Please give me to eat of the Bread of Life. I pray that every human soul on this earth would eat of this Bread of Life. Grant that, Lord Jesus, I pray.

“Your fathers did eat man’-na in the wilderness, and are dead.” (Verse 49)

Heavenly Father, thank Thee for the daily bread and food Thou doest give me to nourish my physical body. I acknowledge the certainty that one day my physical body will die. Please help me to fully prepare for the day of my death.

“This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.” (Verse 50)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art the Bread which came down from Heaven. I confess that a man may eat of Thee and not die. Please cause me to eat of Thee and to live forever. I worship Thee, Lord Jesus, as the Bread which cometh down from Heaven. I receive Thee, Lord Jesus Christ, and partake of Thee, as The Bread of Life.

“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (Verse 51)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art the Living Bread which came down from Heaven. I worship Thee as the Living Bread which came down from Heaven. I confess that if any person eat of this Bread that he shall live forever. Lord Jesus, I desire to eat of this Bread. I desire to live forever. Please feed me of this eternal, living bread. Lord Jesus, I confess that the Bread that Thou doest give is Thy Flesh. I confess that Thou didst give Thy Flesh for the life of the world. I confess that Thou didst give Thy Life for me, that I might live forever. Lord Jesus, I love Thee for giving Thy Life for me. Please help me to give me life a living sacrifice for Thee. I worship Thee, Lord Jesus Christ, as the Giver of Life.

“The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” (Verse 52)

Lord Jesus, I confess that Thou doest give us Thy flesh to eat. Please teach me clearly and fully just exactly how that Thou canst give me Thy Flesh to eat. Please give me Thy Flesh to eat forever more. Lord Jesus, I partake of Thy Body, of Thy Flesh.

“Then Je’sus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.” (Verse 53)

Lord Jesus Christ, I desire to eat Thy Flesh. I desire to drink Thy Blood. I desire to have life in me. Please perfect and fulfill my desires in accordance to Thy Divine Will. Please teach me perfectly how to eat Thy Flesh and to drink Thy Blood. Lord Jesus, I choose to partake of Thy Flesh and of Thy Blood.

“Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” (Verse 54)

Almighty Lord God Jesus Christ, I confess that whoso eateth Thy Flesh and drinketh Thy Blood hath eternal life, and that Thou wilt raise him up at the last day. Please feed me Thy Flesh and Thy Blood. Please give me eternal life. Please raise me up at the last day.

“For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.” (Verse 55)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thy Flesh is Meat indeed, and that Thy Blood is Drink indeed. Please teach me to partake of Thee. I desire to partake of Thy Flesh as meat and to partake of Thy Blood as drink. By Thy Holy Ghost’s Almighty Unlimited Power, please enable me to do so. Please overcome and bring to naught all powers that fight against me partaking of Thy Flesh and Blood, Precious Lord Jesus.

“He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.” (Verse 56)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that he that eateth Thy Flesh, and drinketh Thy Blood, dwelleth in Thee, and Thou doest dwell in him. I desire to dwell in Thee, Lord Jesus. I also desire that Thou dwell in me. Please cause me to eat of Thy Flesh. Please cause me to drink of Thy Precious Blood, my dear Lord Jesus. Please dwell in me. Please cause me to dwell in Thee forever and ever.

“As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.” (Verse 57)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that the Living Father hath sent Thee. I confess that Thou doest live by the Father. I also desire to live by God the Father. Please enable me to do so. I confess that he that eateth Thee shall live by Thee. Lord Jesus, I desire to live by Thee. Please cause me to eat of Thee, and thus to forever live by Thee, Lord Jesus.

“This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat man’-na, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever.” (Verse 58)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou art that Bread of Almighty God which came down from Heaven. I confess that he that eateth of this Bread shall live forever. Lord Jesus please forever give me this Bread to eat. I desire to live forever. Lord Jesus, I confess that Thou art Eternal Life. I worship Thee as Eternal Life. I desire to have The Lord Jesus Christ as my Eternal Life.

“These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Ca-per’na-um.” (Verse 59)

Lord Jesus, please send God’s Holy Spirit into my spirit to teach me. Please teach me all things I should know of Thee. Help me to read the Holy Bible much each day. And help me to listen ever so carefully to all Thou doest speak unto me by Thy Holy Scriptures and by the Voice of Thy Holy Spirit. Please help me to believe and to obey all that Thou doest teach me. Then help me to go teach all those Living Eternal Truths to every human soul I possibly can.

“Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?” (Verse 60)

Lord Jesus Christ, I too confess that this is a hard saying and not easy for my natural mind to understand. Therefore I humbly ask Thee to give me Spiritual understanding of this saying. Please send Almighty God’s Holy Spirit into my spirit to clearly teach me the meaning of this saying. Please give me spiritual ears to hear it and a heart to believe it. Please help me to always readily believe all Thy Sayings, no matter how difficult they may be for my natural mind to understand. Please give me total faith in all Thy Words. Lord God, save me from ever stumbling over any of Thy Words. And please send God’s Holy Spirit into my spirit to fully teach me of God’s Eternal Words. Lord Jesus, I desire to be Thy disciple.

“When Je’sus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?” (Verse 61)

Lord Jesus Christ, I proclaim that I want to be Thy disciple. Please make me Thy disciple. Please save me from ever being offended by any thing Thou doest do or doest say. Please save me from ever murmuring at Thy Words. I confess that Thou doest all things well. I confess that all Thy Words are Absolute and Eternal Truth. I love Thee, Lord Jesus. I love All Thy Words. I love All Thy Sayings.

“What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?” (Verse 62)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that for all eternity past Thou wast in Heaven above with God the Father. I confess that Thou didst come to this earth and die on the cross for the sins of mankind. I confess that after 3 days Thou didst arise from the dead. I confess that some days later, before the eyes of people on earth who witnessed Thy ascension into Heaven, that Thou didst ascend up to Heaven where Thou wast before.

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (Verse 63)

Heavenly Father, I understand that this old English word, “quickeneth,” means to make alive. Please send Thy Holy Spirit into my spirit to quicken it, to make my spirit alive with Almighty God’s Eternal life. Please convince me of the Absolute Truth that the flesh profiteth nothing. Please reveal to me the full meaning of my flesh profiting nothing. I understand that my Creator God hath ordained that I labour in my flesh during my life on earth for the purpose of earning my livelihood here on earth. But please teach me how that I do not come to know my Creator God by fleshly efforts, nor am I to serve Thee by fleshly efforts. So please teach me how to be a Spiritual believer and how to grow Spiritually. Lord Jesus, I confess that the words that Thou doest speak unto me are spirit and that they are life. Please help me to receive them as such. Please help me to fully rely on Almighty God’s Spiritual Power to accomplish all the works that Thou hast ordained for me to accomplish during my life on this earth.

“But there are some of you that believe not. For Je’sus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.” (Verse 64)

Lord Jesus Christ, I desire to fully believe ALL Thy Words. I desire to fully believe on Thee as my Lord and Saviour. I desire to fully trust in Thee, Lord Jesus. Please help my sin of unbelief and grant me True and Living Faith in Thee. Please save me from the awful sin of ever betraying Thee. I worship Thee, Lord Jesus, as The All-Knowing God Who knows everything about me. Please make my life totally pleasing unto Thee.

“And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.” (Verse 65)

Heavenly Father, please give unto me the ability to come unto The Lord Jesus Christ and to fully trust in Him, receiving Him most willingly and most gladly into my heart and life. Please draw all human souls on this earth to The Lord Jesus Christ.

“From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.” (Verse 66)

Lord Jesus Christ, please make me into one of Thy disciples and thoroughly train me to be a faithful follower of Thee. Please save me from ever going back and ceasing to walk with Thee. Please save my faith from failing. Please save me from ever ceasing to trust in Thee, Lord Jesus Christ. Please help me to daily walk with Thee for all my days on this earth. Please enable me to always love Thee, Lord Jesus, with all my heart.

“Then said Je’sus unto the twelve, “Will ye also go away?” (Verse 67)

Lord Jesus, please save me from ever having any desire to go away from Thee. Help me to forever cleave strongly to Thee, Lord God, with all my feeble might. Please be my Good Shepherd, Sweet Jesus. Please save me from ever going astray. Please forever lead me in Paths of Righteousness for Thy Precious Name’s Sake. I determine that I will always follow Thee where so ever Thou leadest. I will pasture where Thou feedest, my Precious Lord Jesus. No turning back. No turning back.

“Then Si’mon Pe’ter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.” (Verse 68)

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou hast the words of eternal life. I confess that no one else hast the words of eternal life. I confess there is nowhere else to go for eternal life but to Thee, Lord Jesus. Please be my Eternal Life. I come unto Thee, Lord Jesus, desiring to abide with Thee forever.

“And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Verse 69)

Lord Jesus, I too believe, and am most sure that Thou art that Christ, the Son of the Living God. I now confess those Truths unto Thee. I worship Thee, Lord Jesus, as the True Christ, the Son of the Living God.

“Je’sus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?” (Verse 70)

Lord Jesus Christ, please choose me. Please make me into Thy disciple. Please fill me with Almighty God’s Holy Spirit. Please drive the devil and all his demons far from me. Please deliver me from all the power of sin, evil and the devil. By God’s Almighty Power, please always Divinely protect and shield me from these enemies of my soul. I confess that I am Thine, Lord Jesus.

“He spake of Ju’das Is-car’i-ot the son of Si’mon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.” (Verse 71)

Lord Jesus Christ, please enable me to love Thee with all my heart, soul, and might. Please save me from ever betraying Thee or ever forsaking Thee. By Thy Unlimited Power, I beg Thee to work mightily within my heart and life to make me fully faithful to Thee, my Creator God, for all my days here upon the earth. I am weak, Lord Jesus, I need God’s Almighty Power working freely in my life. I now yield myself to my Creator God for the purpose of being filled with all of God’s Power and Love.

Our Father which art in Heaven, I humbly pray all these prayers for all the human souls now living on the earth. I pray earnestly from my heart in the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ, and I beg Thee to please answer these prayers in accordance to Thy Divine Will and for the Lord Jesus Christ’s Precious Name’s Sake. Amen!
