Chapter 2

HEAR, I PRAY YOU

“O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.” (Psalms 136:1)

Presently (at the age of 70), my little ol heart overflows with thanksgiving to Almighty God for giving me the very best, most blessed, and richest life possible on this earth. I believe each and every Christian believer should have such a testimony, because such a confession gives much glory unto our Creator God. Such words coming from a Christian are also a most valid Spiritual Truth.

Reader friend, think seriously. How often do you hear any soul honestly proclaim that they have the very best, most blessed and richest life possible on this earth? I have that. And you can easily have it also.

My heart is totally void of complaints. It is filled to overflowing with abundant gratitude, thanksgiving, and praise to Almighty God in the Highest Heaven for His Abundantly Rich Mercies and Grace that He daily generously showers down upon most unworthy me. I pray that your heart is constantly filled with the same.

The only regrets I have, pertain to not being as zealous as I should have been in living for Lord Jehovah God, my Creator, my Saviour, my Judge, and my ALL. May Almighty God daily perfect your and mine every way to thereby save us from all such regrets.

Basically, I have no personal desire to put my life’s story into writing. I only do so praying that it will greatly glorify my Creator God and bless, teach, edify, encourage, and impart true Spiritual wisdom to fellow human souls on their short earthly journey to their eternal abode. I also pray that many lost souls will read this book and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to save them for all eternity. Grant it, Lord Jesus, I plead!

Basically, I desire to leave out of this book much of that which has been “negative” in my earthly journey. Thank God I have no desire to “bad mouth” any person on earth who has been a problem to me. Also, as I read what anemic Christians write about their own lives, often there is a profound tendency to clearly air each and every trial and problem they have met in life. I sense that (in many cases) two goals motivate writers to do such. 1. They think it will make their writings more interesting to the reader. 2. They think it will give them symphony from readers and cause readers to esteem the writer to be great, simply because he or she has encountered such hardships (that each and every human soul endures to varying degrees along their earthly journey).

I believe each of these two goals stem from a vain heart. Thus, I pray for my Lord to save me from such vanity, thus saving you from the displeasure of reading my vain complaining or bragging.

While praying in that vein, the Holy Spirit tells me to listen carefully to God telling me which negative experiences of mine to share with you in this book. God desires to use such life experiences of mine to show some readers “faults” in their lives. The Holy Spirit will clearly call on each reader to allow God to remedy those faults in his or her life. Please work such a wonderful work into each of our lives, Lord Jesus, I beg of Thee!

Thus, “Hear, I pray you.”

Because each human soul is an imperfect sinner, each of us suffers unnecessarily at the hands of people around us as they pester us with their imperfect ways. May each of us truly desire to do better toward all souls around us and may we be willing to honestly face our own faults. It greatly benefits mankind when we are a “plus” in the lives of others, instead of a “minus”, a blessing instead of a hardship or a burden or a downright pain in the neck.

May our Lord God instill in each of us the desire to be a true blessing to all souls around us. May we fully yield our beings (our own selves in entirety) to our Creator God in order to allow Him to make us “come forth as gold” and to mold and make us into the perfect Christian He commands us to be in Matthew 5:48. Almighty God, please cause each of us right now to listen to Thee most keenly, for our eternal well-being! Please give us ears to hear.
