CHRIST IS ALL

Autumn 2014 (September, October, November)

Dear Friend in Christ,

God has given us much lovely fall weather here in central Japan. It does my soul much good. Rice harvest scenery is beautiful, especially the rice paddies when the farmers harvest the rice. Studying Genesis, I believe that Our Creator ordained that mankind is to spend the daylight hours outdoors, tilling the soil and such, labouring in God’s created nature to obtain the necessities of this earthly life. During the fall, I spent as much time as possible outdoors labouring in the Lord’s Harvest of eternal human souls. I preached in public and distributed Christian literature from house to house. May The Holy Ghost work powerfully in the heart of each Japanese who heard or read those words pertaining to eternal life.

Each month, I preached one Sunday each in the churches in Miyota, Yoshii, and Isesaki. It greatly blesses me to preach to these small flocks of Japanese believers in their language. Pray for them.

I pray for God to keep my heart tender and compassionate toward all lost souls and keep me stirred with zeal to tell them of the Saviour of the world. You please pray that for me also. I pray that God will also do the same thing for you. “Lord, please perfect us all!”

In the evening of November 15th I shut down the rescue mission in Karuizawa for the winter with plans to open it again in mid-April, Lord willing. It was a joy to see several Japanese come into the mission and take Bibles, Christian literature, and daily-use items with powerful prayers written on them. Those prayers will be before their eyes as they use the bags, towels, plates, drinking glasses, tissue packs and such. Pray for God to stir up their hearts to pray those prayers in earnest.

The vast majority of the souls who passed by in front of the mission spoke with quite scornful voices as they read aloud the large sign “Christ Is All.” It was heartbreaking to see some parents adamantly refuse to let their children take items for free (with words of eternal life on them) that the children wanted, like the balloons. What eternal regret they will suffer unless they repent. I can picture the grandparents (of those parents) who are now in the lake of fire with the rich man of Luke 16, moaning with deep regret that they raised their descendants wrong resulting in those descendants now being headed straight for that lake of fire also. May God cause you and I to fully do our duty as a watchman to warn the wicked souls around us of the wrath that is to soon to come.

Thank you for interceding for the salvation of the many lost Japanese to whom I preach Christ. Thank you for praying for my health and my welfare. Thank you for giving offerings to enable me to carry on this missionary work. God richly bless you and repay you many fold for your much generous goodness to me.

Lord willing, from December 6th thru January 6th I will be at Mino Mission in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, Japan, joining those zealous Japanese Christians in the much evangelism they do during the holiday season. They hold Christmas services in more than 20 care facilities (mainly for the elderly, several of the souls there are in their 90s) and in one orphanage. They hold several special church services (preaching, praying, singing, and testimony time) in the 3 Mino Mission churches. They also do outdoor evangelism. During the “holiday season”, daily, the Mino Mission Japanese Christians go after precious lost souls (for whom Christ died) doing so for several hours each day. Now that is my kind of Christian Christmas fellowship!

What great joy it brings to me to join them in their efforts aimed at the salvation of eternal souls for whom Christ died. Down thru the years, God has blessed me in allowing me to spend Christmas in several various nations and places on this globe. Most everywhere, Christmas means the following to Christians: eating, drinking, eating, making merry, eating, playing, eating, exchanging expensive gifts, eating, socializing, eating, having as much fun as possible, and EATING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Giving maximum effort (and much money) to fulfilling the lusts of the flesh, eating mountains of sweet, rich dainties that destroy priceless God-given health. With each passing day of this end-time age, I gain a better understanding of why Our Lord says to the church of the Laodiceans, “I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

“And in that day did the Lord God of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth: And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we shall die.” (Isaiah 22:12 & 13)

Likely they were so accurate when they declared they would die on the morrow. Truly the Lord prepares a great slaughter for such a generation of believers. “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord.”

“Excuse me, Brother Richard, but you have ceased giving missionary news and have gone to meddling in our own personal lives and affairs.” Then let us return to the news. I have made plane reservations to fly to the US in mid-January to be there till 9 April, Lord willing. Would you please pray for God to give me safety of travel? I am so blessed that several pastors are inviting me to preach to their flocks. I earnestly pray for the Lord to make me a blessing. I hope to be posting that schedule on this web site, piecemeal. Please pray for the services. If you live near enough to one of the churches to come there, I would enjoy seeing you.

God be with you to bless and keep you, and to perfect your every way.
