CHRIST IS ALL
Autumn 2018 (September, October, November)
Dear Friend in Christ,
By God's Grace, I fished for men's eternal souls at the Rescue
Mission (and on the nearby crowded street) in Karuizawa till Saturday night, 3
November, enjoying lovely autumn weather during that time, and then closed down
the Rescue Mission for the winter.
The following day, 4 November, I preached in the church in
Isesaki City, then spent 5 and half days setting my house in order, and on
Saturday the 10th, rode the fast rails of 2 Bullet Trains (& 2 local
trains) to Mino Mission in Tomidahama in Mie Prefecture.
The following morning (the 11th) I attend church there in the
Tomidahama church building where I had slept upstairs for the night, then went
by train to Pastor Jeff Brigham's church in Anjo City to preach at their 3 PM
service. It was most blessed. Pastor Brigham was in the States at the time.
After their service ended, I came back to Tomidahama to preach in their 7 PM
service.
For the next week, I distributed Mino Misson's newspaper from
houe to house in that area, preaching in the Tomidahama church on Wednesday
night and in their church in Oogaki City in nearby Gifu Prefecture on Thursday
night. Then on Sunday the 18th, I preached in both the morning and night
service at the Tomidahama Church. It all was a most precious time of fellowship
with these dedicated Japanese Christians. Please pray for your brothers and
sisters in Christ in Japan's old Mino Mission. The 1st week in November, they
commerated the 100th anniversary of Mino
Mission, with revival services.
The following morning (Monday the 18th), I caught the 1st train
(5:24 AM) at the nearby little Tomidahama station, just a 4 minute walk from
the church) and rode the rails a long ways south to Ibusuki City in Kagoshima
Prefecture at the very southern tip of "main" Japan to the house God
enabled me to buy and immediately started proclaiming Christ that very
afternoon.
I advertised Bible sessions, prayer sessions, and English
conversation classes. So far, no one is interested in their Creator God and in
escaping eternal Hell fire. But thus far, 6 have come to my house for English
conversation. (This is a prime way we missionaries in Japan are able to make
contacts with these stiffneck folks, by offering English classes.) Pray for
their salvation, and for the many others I am reaching with the written and
spoken Word.
I pray for you. And your prayers mean ever so much to me. Thank
You GIVERS, who send offerings that enable me to "go and preach" in
many places in Japan. I pray for our Lord to bless you and to repay you many
fold.
I have made plane reservations to fly to the U.S. on January 30
and fly back to Japan on April 25th. Please pray for safe and timely travel, in
accordance to our Lord's Will.
Christ’s Servant in Japan,
Richard Yerby
