Fellow Christian Warrior,

Let us fight the good fight of faith, as the Heavenly Host looks on the spiritual battle on earth with keen interest. Let us earnestly pray for the peace of Jerusalem, as Israel’s enemies go all out in their war to wipe the Jews off the face of the earth.

Here in central Japan, summer was hotter than usual. As I pen these words at the end of September, it’s still unusually hot. Daily, in the Rescue Mission in the somewhat cooler mountains, I usually took a walk before sunup or after sundown. Then I stayed in the shade inside this storefront, out of those strong sunrays that scorch folks in these last days. (Revelation 16:8-9)

Mrs. N, a Japanese Christian (likely in her late 40s) came to the Rescue Mission for spiritual help. She was divorced from her husband (who was from USA). She has 1 child, a 17-year-old son with low IQ, who is with her here in Japan. Several years ago, Mrs. N suffered brain damage, requiring brain surgery that left her mind and memory “spotty” with blanks. I quoted Scriptures of comfort and healing, and prayed for her. Several days after that, her son on his bicycle was hit (lightly) by a car, busting his nose, requiring plastic surgery to repair his nose. About the same time, Mrs. N’s younger brother passed out at home, requiring somewhat serious surgery. (I know not the details.) Please pray for healing for these 3 people, and for the son, brother, and Mrs. N’s father to be saved. Mrs. N has much hardship upon her, amidst her limited abilities. Please join me, praying for Christ to uphold her.

In these perilous last days, you who are experiencing extreme dry, I am getting your share of rain poured down on me in extremely heavy torrents that I have never before seen in this area of Japan, even during heavy typhoon rains. Large portions of hills, mountains, and cliffs, turning loose in ugly mud flows with much other debris, flowing onto peoples’ yards, onto the RR tracks, stopping trains, onto highways, closing them to vehicular traffic, even destroying houses causing a few deaths, and such.

During the 50 years that I’ve been in Japan, I’ve steadily watched this proud race of people becoming more proud and more intent on building a Great Nation. And ever since the Fukushima Tsunami Tidal Wave in March 2011, it has been a spiritual education for me, watching them having to steadily pour more and more effort into repairing what our Creator is destroying thru out Japan, by means of earthquakes, tidal waves, torrential rains, flooding, diseases, plagues, and such. They had much rather be advancing further to become GREATER, than trying desperately to repair existing things and to save human lives that God is destroying. “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh.” (Psalms 2:4) Amen!!

Back in August, as “rice shelves” in grocery stores here became barren, “There is no shortage of rice…” the politicians repeated in the news, till their lie became a laughing matter. So, they had to change to their tune to, “Don’t panic over the rice shortage.” As I praise our Righteous Creator for His Righteous Judgments upon this unrighteous human race, I also laugh along with Him that sitteth in the Heavens, as I hold forth the Bread of Life to these Buddhist Japanese!!! Please intercede for their salvation.

Please pray for victory for Mrs. T, a Japanese Christian lady (in her 50s, I estimate). She was born with a most gloomy, dark, pessimistic nature, and it still remains, tho she professes to be “born again”. I first met her when she walked by, as I was street preaching, shortly after the year 2000, I guess. She had her small son and daughter with her, and immediately set in howling to me in regret that the world is soon coming to an end, preventing her 2 kids from reaching adulthood. (Tho getting raptured up to Perfect Heaven now is much better than reaching adulthood.) She never smiles, always gloom.

Over the next 3 years or so, she came my way 2 or 3 times with her little children, always howling that same regret. Since then (almost 20 years of time), I only got a glimpse of her once (in a different place), until she came into the Rescue Mission in early September this year, and immediately set in howling.

“My loved one has left me, and I am most miserable!” Two decades ago, she never mentioned her husband. And I didn’t ask any nosey questions about him then, nor do I inquire now when she laments the above to me. I do not know if he was living with her at that time. Now she doesn’t tell me, to whom she is referring as her “Loved One”. Mighty good chance it is her husband who could no longer endure living with her constant despair. Anyway, now, she sits down in the one extra folding chair in the Rescue Mission with an attitude of “Sprinkle some kind of ‘magic dust’ upon me to fully remedy this.”

Thus, I began dumping on Powerful “magic dust” by the ton… ‘The Bible declares us Christians to be More Than Conquerors Thru Him That Loved Us…The God Of All Comfort…Whose Grace Is Always Sufficient For Any Situation We Encounter…” I kept up that Victory Preaching, firmly declaring that there is no need for any Christian believer to be wallowing in despair. But she didn’t seem to care to hear such as that. Truly a Pitiful Soul! You please pray for God to deliver her.

During September and October, I was blessed to preach on 4 Sunday mornings in Missionary Pastor Dan Roberts’ church in Saku City, close to 30 miles from the Rescue Mission (while Pastor Dan was in the States). His small flock were most kind to me. Also, I did outdoor evangelism in that area.

As I do annually, on Monday 4 November, I closed the Rescue Mission in cold Karuizawa Town, for the winter. I rejoice to have held forth the word of life to a large multitude of lost souls during the warm half of the year. Pray with me for the Holy Ghost to work powerfully in the hearts of the ones who heard my voice and audio, and who read my large Gospel signs and banners.

In November, I majored on outdoor evangelism in the area of my house in Gunma Prefecture. Many warm days with no wind made it a blessing to be out in the surrounding nature. I am most privileged to hold forth the word of life here. Please intercede with me for God to set many captives free from sin.

On Sunday November the 17th, I attended the morning worship service in the church in Isesaki City, but did not preach because they had a different guest preacher this day. I attended because I went from there with the Yamashita family to their house for lunch, and then to preach in a cottage meeting in their house at 2 PM. About 18 souls crowded into their house, and I thrilled to preach the Word to them.

Almost all of these people are Filipinos. Some of the Yamashita family ancestors are Filipinos and some are Japanese. A few of them are devout Christian believers, desirous to win their lost family members and friends to Christ. Likely a majority of these 18 or so who came on the 17th were full-blooded Filipinos and members of the Catholic church. Many Filipinos live in Japan for the good job opportunities here. They listened well as I preached repentance toward God and faith in Christ to save them eternally. Do pray for the lost among them to be saved.

I want to thank you now, somewhat before the end of this year, for all you have done for me this year. May God richly bless you for it, I pray. I expect death, destruction & hard times to steadily worsen as we are approaching ever so close to our Lord’s Rapture of His blood-bought children. You please cleave to your Lord God, I pray.

Autumn has become my favorite season, October my favorite month. I first arrived in Japan in early December 1973, so I thank God for more than 50 years of considering Japan my primary place of abode on earth. Only a scant few foreign missionaries presently in Japan came here before I did. I am most blessed! I desire to live out the remainder of my days on earth, holding forth the word of life in Japan. Thank you for your prayers and support that enable me to be here. I pray for our Lord to richly reward each of your kind deeds unto me. May our Lord richly bless you in every way, and keep you safe in His Watch Care and Keeping during these perilous end-times.

Christ’s servant in Japan,

Richard Yerby
