12.  SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)

My dear friend, the one thing you need First and Foremost is your Creator God. So please trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Daily, fear God and shun evil!

Daily, desire to, and seek to, do God’s Will for your life!

Daily, trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to protect you and to keep you safe in this dangerous world. Deliver me from evil, Lord.

Daily, trust in Jesus to supply your needs. Give me this day, my daily bread.

Long ago, The Lord Jesus Christ led me to get discharged from the U.S. military in Japan to stay here to preach Christ to masses of precious lost Japanese souls. So, upon doing that in early 1975, I then had no income. I trusted the Lord’s promises in the Bible to supply all my needs. And He has faithfully done so.

But when I told family members and friends back home in the U.S. that I planned to stay in Japan with no income, many of them (most of them Christians) feared I would starve to death, or something similar. Truly, we each need to pray, Lord, help Thou my unbelief.

My Friend, please make Jesus Christ ever so precious to you, because you are most precious to Him. Jesus desires the very best for you. Please always obey Him fully to receive that best. Don’t ever be afraid to “step out on faith” any time that He leads you to do so. You will never regret doing that because Jesus is faithful as promised. He will take good care of you.

That was many years ago in early 1975 when I “stepped out on faith” at God’s calling to become a missionary in Japan. It has been most blessed thru all these many decades. Joy constantly overflows from my heart because I am exalting Christ in Japan.

“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” (Psalms 37:4)

“My Lord Jesus, right now please work powerfully in my heart to cause me to fully delight myself in my Lord Jesus Christ, First and Foremost desiring to do Thy Divine Will for my life. Please assure me now, that only such a complete commitment to Thee will bring me fullness of joy and a satisfied and fulfilled life. Amen.”

Please read the life stories of great men of God who had great (but simple) faith, like George Mueller and Hudson Taylor. Reading their life stories has greatly increased my faith.

In late 1974 and early 1975, I told some Christian friends that God was leading me to stay in Japan as a missionary on faith with no income. Most of them were shocked, some strongly advising me against doing such a thing. “If you know what’s good for you, you will get back to the States.” A missionary in Japan strongly urged me with those exact words, not to follow my Lord’s Leading. What a pity. Our Lord was not pleased with that at all.

Young Christian Friend, never fear to go where the Lord Jesus Christ leadeth thee, even into a lion’s den or a fiery furnace. The one thing we are to do is “Delight thyself also in the Lord.” By all means, be sure to do that.

“Abba Father in Heaven, as Brother Richard preaches to lost Japanese idol worshippers, please mightily anoint his preaching with Holy Ghost Power and turn many Japanese to true repentance and trust in the One Living God. Amen!”

I am most grateful to each of you whom God has led to send me an offering so that I can continue to preach Christ in Japan. “Lord, please richly bless each one who gives, and repay them many fold over. Amen.”
