10.  WILT THOU GO WITH THIS MAN?

“And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.” (Genesis 24:58)

Such a thrilling love story! Father Abraham (a type of God the Father) sends a servant (a type of the Holy Ghost) to seek and take a bride (a type of the church) for his son Isaac (a type of God the Son Jesus Christ). It sorely amazes me to read the servant’s prayer for definite guidance in verses 42~44, and then in verses 45~48 the Lord answers exactly as the servant asked.

Your Lord God will daily guide you just as perfectly as He did that servant in this Scripture. Daily ask Him to do so.

Rebekah’s family wants her to delay going unto her bridegroom because they love to have her with them at home. But the servant (The Holy Ghost) calls on her to hasten unto Him. Her family leaves that decision up to Rebekah. “Wilt thou go with this man?”

O, my Reader Friend, her decision is most wonderful. “And she said, I will go.” No hesitating at all! You be like Rebekah.

If you have not yet asked Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and to save you forever, please hasten to do that right now, because “now is the day of salvation.” Don’t delay for even a second.

You who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ, He calls on you to daily follow His Guidance for your life. Ask Him to help you to always walk in the Spirit, so as to clearly understand that Guidance. Then you always follow it. Thus, when your life ends on earth, He will go with you thru the valley of the shadow of death to bring you out on the far side in glorious resurrection life.

God blessed me with stern Christian parents who taught me to fear our Lord, causing me to repent of my sins to Christ and ask Him to save me from Hell when I was a little boy. My parents were very poor and I had to work most hard on our farm from age five. Growing up toiling at hard farm work, I dreamed of becoming great. And I did become a U.S. Marine Corps officer and a jet pilot.

Then, when the Marines sent me to one of their bases in Japan, the Lord led me to soon get discharged from the Marines in Japan to follow Him all over this nation of idol worshippers to preach the True and Living God to them. Since 1974, I have “gone with this Man, The Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of all the earth” to several nations on earth, preaching Salvation and Eternal Life in Christ. It has been most blessed. Read much more about it in these following stories and in my autobiography.

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)

Young Friend, you be just like Isaiah and tell your Lord that you desire for Him to send you wherever He desires.

In Matthew Chapter 4, as Jesus walks by the sea of Galilee, when He sees fishermen brothers Peter and Andrew, He calls to them, “Follow me…And they straightway left their nets, and followed him”. (Verses 19 and 20) When Jesus then walks a little further on, he sees 2 other fishermen brothers, James and John with their father. He called on them also to follow Him. “And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.” (Verses 21 and 22)

The nets and the ship represent their livelihood, fishing. Their father represents their families. Your Lord desires for you to willingly forsake your livelihood and family to follow Him.

The most important thing for any person to do is to repent of his or her sin to our Creator God, trust in Jesus Christ to save them eternally, and then follow the Lamb of God (Jesus Christ) whithersoever He leads them.

“Abba Father in Heaven, right now please send Thy Holy Spirit powerfully upon me to mightily stir up my heart to do just that. Please grant unto me godly sorrow for my sins and make me truly repentant of them. Please create perfect faith in my heart to fully trust in Jesus Christ as my own personal Saviour. Daily, please guide me to walk in Thy Spirit and to always follow Jesus Christ, no matter where He leads me. Amen.”

“And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.” (1st Thessalonians 1:10) “Lord Jesus Christ, my Creator God, I confess that God the Father raised Thee from the dead. I trust in Thee to save me and to deliver me from Almighty God’s fierce wrath that is soon to come upon this sinful ol’ world. I am waiting for Thee to come from Heaven to take me Home to Heaven. Please come today, Precious Jesus. Amen!”
